Acne in its common terms is known as pimple. It causes inflammation and also sometimes it is non inflammatory. This is a skin disorder that is normally found in the teenagers in their growing phase. The acne is the pores in the skin called follicle that connects to the oil glands which is present under the skin. Within these follicles, the oil carries the dead skin cells to the surface of the skin. When there some kind of a blockage in the follicle, it eventually leads to acne. It renders an effect on the oil glands. Where ever the oil glands are embedded within the body like the face, back and thighs, acne outbreaks are possible in these regions. These acne are again of different types. Few are the genera outbreaks from the skin while the other types are caused due to hormonal causes. The acne which is caused due to hormonal cause can occur at any age unlike the typical pimples that vanishes off with growing age.
The symptoms of acne are appearance of redness which looks abnormally red and skin irritation.
The causes of acne can be of maintaining an improper healthy diet, using lots of harsh chemical or cosmetic products, disturbances in hormonal secretion, lack of hygiene, constipation and indigestion, toxins formation in blood, irregular or even regular menstruation and eating fatty and greasy food like chocolate, coffee, nuts, aerated drinks and intake of sugar.
The worst parts of acne are the marks or scares that it leaves. In the treatment of acne, the chemical treatment can be affective and quick but it is expensive. On the other hand if the same treatment is carried out at home with the ingredients from nature, it will produce beneficial results a without any side effects.
Few of the home remedies are -
Using clove paste on the affected area, a face pack made of turmeric powder with sandalwood powder, multani mitti, orange peel, mixing honey and cinnamon powder, milk which is not boiled mixed with gram flour can be used as a daily wash of acne skin. Aloe Vera works like magic in acne prone skin, applying tomato juice, pomegranate paste with fresh lime juice, neem paste and above all drinking lots of water will reduce the occurrence of acne.
In a nutshell acne can be restricted if the face and other body parts are regularly cleansed well. Oily food should be terminated absolutely otherwise the oil glands will be secreting more oil and together with the dirt it will worsen the situation.
