I’ve found Melatonin to be helpful. Other things that help can be: getting rid of excess sugars in your diet, cut out caffeine, keep regular sleep hours/times, try to only sleep (or have sex) in your bedroom so it is a place of rest, if it’s too light in your room put up room darkening shades/curtains, take a warm bath/hot shower before bed, listen to peaceful music/white noise before bed or when you get in. I don’t know if this will help too, but I feel best when my pj’s are as comfy as possible and I have cozy sheets (especially flannel in the winter). And since stress is impacting your sleep you can try to relieve it by: drinking warm tea, getting a massage, talking over problems with friends/close family, petting a dog/cat, practicing yoga, and/or (if you believe) praying/talking with God or meditation. I wish you luck.
